Clippy Privacy Policy

Data Collection

Clippy does not collect, sell, or share personal data. The app does not include analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, accounts, or remote configuration.

Local Processing

Clippy reads the local macOS clipboard to build clipboard history on your Mac. Text history, optional file URL history, optional image history, excluded app rules, sensitive keyword filters, and shortcut settings are stored locally on your Mac. If you enable iCloud settings sync, Clippy mirrors only capture, privacy, and history-limit settings through your private Apple iCloud account. Clippy does not send clipboard contents to Jin Factory or any server.

Sensitive Content

Clippy ignores transient and concealed clipboard types and includes default filters for common password, token, and OTP keywords. Rich text, file URL, and image capture settings are off by default. You can add excluded apps and keywords in Settings.

Network Use

Clippy does not contact any server during normal use.
