minical Privacy Policy

Summary
minical is a local-first calendar app. It does not operate a Jin Factory backend server, does not include advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not sell or share Google user data. Google Calendar access is optional and used only when you connect a Google account.
For a detailed overview of minical's calendar views, widgets, Apple Watch features, and optional calendar integrations, please refer to the minical homepage.
Google User Data Accessed
When you connect Google Calendar, minical requests only the Google Calendar permissions needed for calendar sync:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events: view, create, edit, and delete events on your Google calendars.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.calendarlist.readonly: view the list of Google calendars you are subscribed to, including calendar names, colors, identifiers, and visibility choices.
The app may also use Google Sign-In profile information returned by Google, such as your email address, display name, and profile image URL, to label the connected account in Settings.
Calendar data accessed from Google may include calendar IDs, calendar names, calendar colors, time zones, event IDs, event titles, start and end times, all-day status, recurrence rules, locations, notes or descriptions, reminders, event colors, creator information, event status, update timestamps, sync tokens, and deletion markers.
Google User Data Usage
minical uses Google user data only to provide calendar features that you request in the app:
- Show Google Calendar events together with local minical calendars and iOS system calendars.
- Create, edit, and delete Google Calendar events when you perform those actions in minical.
- Keep events up to date using Google Calendar incremental sync tokens.
- Store calendar color, visibility, and account labels so you can choose which calendars appear in the app.
- Build schedule views, local notifications, widgets, and Apple Watch complications from your calendar events.
Google User Data Sharing
- minical does not send Google user data to any developer-operated backend server.
- minical does not share Google user data with advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties.
- minical does not use Google user data to train, tune, or improve AI or machine learning models.
- Google Calendar data is sent only to Google Calendar API endpoints when the app reads or writes your calendar data at your direction.
- If you enable Apple iCloud features in minical, local app data may sync through your private Apple iCloud account. This is controlled by your Apple ID and iCloud settings.
Data Storage and Protection
- OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain using the app's keychain access group.
- Local calendar data is stored on your device using Apple's storage frameworks, and may also be stored in the app group container so widgets and Apple Watch features can read upcoming events.
- Network communication with Google APIs uses HTTPS.
- The app does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, or third-party tracking SDKs.
- The app does not request Contacts, Photos, Camera, Microphone, or App Tracking Transparency permission.
Data Retention and Deletion
- Google Calendar data remains in minical only while you keep the Google account connected or keep local synced event copies in the app.
- You can delete individual events in the app. If the event belongs to Google Calendar, minical sends the delete request to Google Calendar.
- You can disconnect a Google account in Settings. minical deletes that account's OAuth tokens from Keychain and removes the locally stored Google calendar sources and synced Google event copies for that account.
- You can delete all app data from Settings using the reset action, or by deleting the minical app from iOS. This removes local app data and Keychain tokens from the device.
- You can revoke minical's Google access at any time from the Google Account permissions page: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- You may request help with data deletion by emailing limsangjin12@gmail.com.
iOS Calendar and Local Data
Events created directly in minical may include title, time, location, notes, recurrence, alarm settings, and calendar choices. When you enable iOS Calendar integration, minical reads iOS system calendars through EventKit and displays those events in the app. iOS Calendar access is controlled by Apple's system permission prompt and can be changed in iOS Settings.
